| Measuring Guidelines |
|
Since you might encounter some difficulty in measuring yourself, it is advisable to ask somebody to measure your body.
For the person being measured:
- Person being measured should wear a swim suit. A Woman should wear the same type suit she wear when diving.
- Stand straight, legs slightly apart.
- Face straight ahead, keeping your eyes and head level. It is important that you not look down as it will create an error in some of the measurements. This is a common cause of measurements not being correct and cannot be over emphasized.
- If you wear your boots under your suit you must measure with your boots on.
For the person doing the measuring:
- Arm and leg measurements should be taken on dominant side.
- Many of the measurements connect from one point to the next. You can leave one end of the measuring tape in place and advance to the next measurement.
- Measuring tape should be snug, neither loose nor tight.
